Java setup pushes Ask.com. How pathetic for both Oracle and Ask.

I have written before that I have banned Java from my main PC. But Java does reside on one of my development PCs, along with a ton of other crap -- it's a necessary evil. So when Java went to update itself today, I saw this dialog:

The default setting is to install the Ask Toolbar and make Ask my default search provider. Just how desperate do Oracle and Ask have to be to do that?

If there was ever any doubt in anybody's mind that Java has jumped the shark, here you have solid proof. I am afraid to think about what Oracle will do with MySQL.
